The High Isle expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online will be arriving to PC on June 6, 2022. And with that in mind, you might want to check out this preview article for the Systres Archipelago you’ll be exploring once the expansion goes live, and this one listing a number of specific points of interest you’ll find there.
Upon reaching the shores of distant High Isle, you’ll quickly discover that this new zone has so much to offer eager adventurers. There is no shortage of beauty and dangers for you to discover within the Systres Archipelago, but if you don’t know where to start, don’t worry, here are five examples of things you can see and do in the new zone.
HELP CLOSE VOLCANIC FISSURES
It’s no secret that the islands of the Systres Archipelago are volcanic, but recently, there has been a mysterious upsurge in volatile fissures. Seek out these new ruptures and calm them by defeating the monsters that rise from the lava-filled vents.
Be warned, this is no easy task, and you may wish to join forces with other players in order to preserve the islands’ beauty. To find an active fissure, search your overworld map for the Volcanic Vents icon on your map.
DELVE INTO WHALEFALL
Should you travel to Amenos, you’ll discover that things aren’t quite as pristine as its sibling island, High Isle. Overgrown fauna conceals bloodthirsty beasts that prey on those who stray too far from civilization, and let us not we forget the murderous residents themselves that survive and thrive in the jungle.
Located within this inhospitable environment is Whalefall Delve, an undisclosed site where man and mer alike are hunted for sport. To travel to Whalefall, scour the western coast of Amenos until you locate the downtrodden Louna Jolvanne. Good luck!
HUNT THE GLEMYOS WILDHORN WORLD BOSS
All manner of monsters call High Isle home, but few are as terrifying and as mighty as the Glemyos Wildhorn world boss, a bipedal man-beast with a murderous intelligence.
You can hunt the Glemyos Wildhorn within the lush woodland of Faun Falls, located on the northern half of High Isle. Again, be warned, the Wildhorn is no simple beast, and you may need the assistance of allies to overcome its fury.
PLUNDER GHOST HAVEN BAY
Even salty sea pirates need a hand now and then. Travel the eastern side of Amenos and team up with IIyes Maul, a buccaneer seeking his ancestor’s final resting place within the eerie Ghost Haven Bay.
One of High Isle’s two Public Dungeons, together you will explore the remnants of a pirate fleet, survive the deadly spirits that are trapped within, and uncover the secret of a dark curse that binds them still! As a Public Dungeon, you’ll find no shortage of monsters, bosses, and, of course, treasure within—just be careful you’re not cursed to join the restless dead!
GO ON A SIGHTSEEING TOUR
If all this adventuring becomes a bit exhausting, we recommend you take a little break and do some sightseeing and exploring. So much vies for your attention as you explore the islands of the Systres Archipelago, but we recommend trying to catch a glimpse of the native ornaugs.
Travel along the southwest coast of High Isle while keeping your eyes on the nearby reef. If you remain observant, you should eventually come by a school of ornaugs leaping from the waves—majestic!
These are just a handful of the many incredible experiences you can enjoy while exploring the new High Isle Chapter. There is so much more awaiting you in the Systres, including unique zone sets to craft and collect, Skyshards to claim, Antiquities to dig up, new companions to recruit, and a host of side and daily quests to complete. Are you excited to begin adventuring in High Isle and Amenos? Let us know via Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook!
